We are excited to announce some of Badger’s winter happenings. Whether its weighing your fitness level with other competitors or keeping up your sports skills, there’s no excuse to give into the chilly days of winter.

Bring-a-Friend Saturday

Bootcamp 18.1

January 14

In its fourth year, Bootcamp 18.1 is a 6-week program designed to establish positive habits in all aspects of health. From fitness and nutrition to sleep and reflection, you will work directly with a Badger coach to obtain tangible and sustainable results. For more information, click here.

Double-under clinic

January 30

In this pop up clinic, Tyler will teach what to look for in a proper jump rope, the basic mechanics of jumping, and timing needed for efficient double-under technique. You’ll also have time to practice what you’ve learned. The clinic will kick off the February jump rope challenge (Feb 1-28). Click here to sign up for the clinic.

Weightlifting 101 session

Starts February 6

Join our new 8-week Weightlifting 101 class where coaches will break down the mechanics of each Olympic lift in great detail. Get the fundamentals, smooth out your movement patterns and practice under weight to make you a better athlete in CrossFit. Class is 6:30p Tuesdays and 5:30p Fridays starting Feb 6. FREE seminar to kick off nutrition challenge

Need help knowing what you should be eating or maybe even just accountability to finally get the results you want? We are teaming up with Lifestyle Nutrition to help you reach your goals! Join us for a FREE nutrition seminar at noon, Jan 27, with Lifestyle Nutrition’s own Becca Chilczenkowski and unpack what diets are out there, the ideology behind flex eating, and why and how tracking your macronutrients is the key to results. The seminar will kick off a 5-week nutrition challenge, starting Feb 5-March 10. Watch for the event registration on Facebook.

Affiliate Cup registration open

Feb 24 – March 24

In conjunction with the CrossFit Open, we will again be hosting our own version of the Games — the Badger CrossFit Affiliate Cup, starting Feb 24.

If you’d like to participate in the Affiliate Cup, register on the Google Sheet here: https://tinyurl.com/y7tjsrwp. Sign up is free.

If you’d like to participate in the CrossFit Games, register on the CrossFit main site here: https://games.crossfit.com/open. Sign up begins Jan 11 and is NOT free.

On a night prior to the Open, our coaches will draft athletes to their teams and announce the results. Teams are assigned a leader, form private facebook groups and begin planning their team t-shirts, spirit award ideas and other fun stuff.

For five consecutive weeks on Saturday mornings, we host the Open in an intramural team format. The event kicks off at 9a and athletes will represent their team. The teams will also earn points for participating in a variety of activities throughout the 5 weeks, in an effort to earn the coveted Affiliate Cup trophy!
