FOUNDER/OWNER

Founder/Owner Tyler Sullivan has been CrossFitting since 2008, and he’s passionate about helping people believe that they can do anything they put their minds, actions and efforts behind.

"After seeing what was possible for people through good health and real fitness, and experiencing this transformation myself, I wanted everyone to experience it," Tyler says. "I knew what I could offer was a truly caring environment, and I wanted everyone to see that it is possible to be better with the right person behind them. Six years later, I opened up BCF and have changed thousands of lives. I am beyond grateful to have this opportunity to help."

Tyler was the trainer for the ABC's Hit TV show Extreme Weight Loss and competed in the CrossFit Games Regionals four times. Him, his wife Amy and two children reside in Pewaukee, right outside Milwaukee.

Tina Martin

HEAD COACH

Head Coach Tina Martin has been CrossFitting for six years, and she truly cares about each individual that walks through the doors at Badger. "I want them to know that CrossFit isn't as scary as it can be portrayed," she says. "With the right coaching that you'll find at Badger, we can help you get fit in a safe and effective manner."

Tina played college volleyball at South Dakota State University, where she still holds the all-time kill record at 1,735. She also played professional volleyball in Kuusamo, Finland and Benidorm, Spain.

"During my professional career, I started thinking about my goals for the future," she said. "I realized how much weightlifting and conditioning helped raise my game to the next level and how much I loved to be in the gym, and I realized it was my calling to help others do the same - whether it was raise their game to the next level of fitness or the game of life and aging gracefully."

Joe Paul

ASSISTANT HEAD COACH/NUTRITION COACH

Coach Joe Paul is a fitness professional who loves to lift, learn, and help others fulfill their dreams. His athletic background includes collegiate football at Concordia University Wisconsin, where he was one of four captains. His team won several awards at an All-Conference level for Defense and Special Teams. If that wasn’t enough, he’s also a two-time intramural basketball champion.

Like many people, Joe was introduced to CrossFit through friends. Initially, he followed workouts online and performed them at home. After six months of training, he received his Level 1 and continues to learn something new every day. For Joe, it’s not about a fast fix, it’s about the journey.

MEMBER SPECIALIST

Alyssa Arnold attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where she studied Business Administration in Human Resources.

From a young age, Alyssa developed a love for athletics through soccer. She continued playing through her 4 years at UW-Oshkosh. Soccer gave her a way to channel her competitive spirit while surrounded by an awesome community.  It's no wonder that 2 years ago, when she first stepped into a CrossFit gym, it changed her life for the best.

Alyssa instantly fell in love with CrossFit, and she has become very passionate about the CrossFit Community. She admires that every day, people of various backgrounds come together to push one another, to be better versions of themselves.

She is excited to become a part of the Badger community as your Member Specialist! Alyssa is looking forward to assisting members, building relationships, and showing off pictures of her Pomeranian named Kiwi.

"You can catch me regularly reading articles or watching videos on sports performance - especially on injury prevention," he says. "I love to try and apply the information I learn to the people I work with daily to help them achieving their full potential while keeping them safe."

He is currently pursuing a degree in nursing and dreams of working as a public health nurse. "I also really like dogs, so if you bring yours in, I'll probably take 20 pictures of it. I promise I'm not creepy," he says.

COACH

Coach Jarrod Pelkofer has been CrossFitting for five years. He says he’s average at everything, but fancy jump roping is his forte. Jarrod played basketball at Michigan State, where students once let him know he sucked while he sat the bench.

Jarrod joined Badger and was started as a coaching intern. "There were enough members that enjoyed the country music I played, so I was brought on as a coach," he says.

COACH

Coach Peter Gerhardt has been CrossFitting for four years and specializes in lifting heavy barbells. His favorite thing about being a coach is seeing his athletes go above and beyond what they thought they were capable of. After working out with Badger for more than three years, Peter felt he needed to give back to his community by providing the same level of coaching he had become accustomed to.

When he’s not in the gym, you can find Peter hanging out with his wife and two kids. "My family is everything to me," he says. "They are the reason I started CrossFitting and taking my health seriously."

Ashley Ferguson

COACH

Coach Ashley Ferguson was born and raised in Wauwatosa and from a young age had a passion for sports. She played collegiate basketball for the only Division II school in Wisconsin, UW-Parkside and post college went on to coach high school basketball and personal train full time for five years. She is now working full time as the Store Manager at lululemon in Brookfield.

CrossFit came into her life almost four years ago and she's been hooked ever since. She loves feeling like an athlete again and the fact that the only person she is competing against now is herself. In class, Ashley wants all of her athletes to leave having learned something from her. She encourages trusting the process, having fun and most importantly focusing on quality movement.

The Badger community has been an amazing addition to her life and she is beyond excited at the opportunity to see the gym through the lens of being a BCF coach.

Sam Carstens

COACH

Coach Sam Carstens has always been an athlete, playing soccer and basketball throughout her life.  But in college, she had to adjust to working out on her own. She ran a lot and did some light strength work, but she missed the competitiveness from high school sports.

She started CrossFit over four years ago and was immediately hooked. It pushed her to be a better athlete and it's taught her so much about health and fitness.

CrossFit is such a big part of her life, and she's excited to share that with others. The community at Badger is amazing and the methodology is for everyone.

She love how it brings together people from all different backgrounds and all levels of fitness, and how all are there to better themselves.

COACH

I have a background and passion in Strength and Conditioning. It started in high school when we got a new Teacher/Coach who started up a Strength and Speed Program at our school, I immediately fell in love with training for my sport (football). After High school, I played Football at a small college in Nebraska where I played a LOT of special teams (nice way of saying I did not start). It was during that time that I dabbled in Crossfit to train for football and I got my Level 1 a year later. Since college, I have been teaching (Theology, Health, PE) and coaching (Football, Strength and Conditioning) at Racine Lutheran High school and also became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). I also coached at Crossfit 414 for 2 years after moving to Milwaukee.

COACH

I am a student at Wisconsin Lutheran College who will be graduating with a degree in sport and exercise science in May of 2020. I fell in love with strength and conditioning in highshool and knew it was going to be something I would one day make a career out of. I have been a group fitness instructor for CycleBar and taught a group strength class called Body Pump. I tried CrossFit in 2017 and have been passionate about it ever since. Finding BCF in 2018 made my passion for CrossFit grow even more. As an assignment for school I had to job shadow in my future career field, so I found Coach Tina who invited me into BCF for the first time and job shadowed her. I joined badger the next week because I loved the gym so much that day I walked in to job shadow and the rest is history.

In the pursuit of completing my degree in Sport and Exercise Science I completed my CrossFit Level-1 Coaching course in June of 2019. I am very excited to join the team at Badger

Fraizier Reiland

COACH

My name is Fraizier Reiland and I’m a home-grown Wisconsin boy from Wauwatosa. Being from Tosa makes Badger feel like home to me. Being a part of team here at Badger is truly an honor as Badger has become a staple of my hometown community.

My formal education comes in the form of a Bachelors in Physics from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison. Health and wellness has become a way of life for me which has developed over my life long involvement with athletics (basketball and football) and working out at the gym. I have an insatiable desire for self improvement (of course taking time to recognize and appreciate where I’m at and being proud of what my body is capable of) that has only been fostered further since I’ve become a dedicated member here at Badger Crossfit.

I look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you and hope that our journey together can be one of mutual growth, improvement, and satisfaction. I’ll see you out there!

ONBOARDING COACH

Molly Powell

ONBOARDING COACH

Molly has been CrossFitting for five years, after years of running and bootcamps left her searching for something different. Upon finding CrossFit, she was shocked at how empowering and fun lifting weights could be, and how supportive and welcoming the community was.

Molly decided to leave the corporate world for good in 2015 to fulfill her love of helping people through fitness and nutrition. She specializes in working with women during pregnancy and postpartum.

Molly became passionate about working with women in the Motherhood Transition in 2016 after having her first child, and became the Director for BIRTHFIT Milwaukee in January 2017. Since then, she’s supported and empowered countless women’s journey through motherhood with intentional fitness, nutrition, mindset and community.

Molly is trained in a rehabilitative style of movement, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, which concentrates on core and posterior chain stabilization and strengthening and correcting compensatory movement patterns and other core-related dysfunctions such as diastasis rectus abdominis and pelvic floor issues.
